Requests
You can place a Hold request for items retrieved from the Library
Catalog,
if you have no overdues or fines/fees. Hold requests can be made only from an item's bibliographic/holdings
display. In addition, you must
login
before you can place a hold.

Search for an item that you want to place a hold on.
- View the
record.
- Click the Request button
on the toolbar at the top of the screen. If you have not previously
logged in, the
Login screen
displays. Enter your library card number and last name in the Your
Library Card Number and Last Name fields. Click
the OK button.
- Click the drop-down menu and
select Hold. Click the OK button.
- If you want to place a hold
on any copy of the item at any location, click the Any Copy radio button. If you want to place a hold on a
specific copy, click the Any Copy At radio button and select
the copy of the item from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your Your Library
Card Number.
- Enter any comments that you
want the circulation staff to view in the Comment text box.
- Select the library location
where you want to pick up the item from the Select the Library Where You Wish to Pick Up the Requested Items drop-down menu.
- Enter the number of days
after which you will not need the hold the Not Needed After
text box.
- Click the Submit Request
button
to submit your request. Click the Clear Form button to clear all
of the fields.
- Hold requests will be processed next business day.
- Once you have placed a hold
on an item, you can check its status by accessing your
library account.
